Monitoring units for increased safety
Wagfors’s monitoring units make your installation safer. Our monitoring units are available in three models for connection to PL5000 or DL8000 units:
WAGFORS RT (REMOTE TEST)
For flexible monitoring of one or two PL5000 and DL8000 units. Communicates with the connected units via a 3-wire interface.
Designed for safe communication, even in extreme environments or at long distances. All abnormal events are registered on the RT unit’s LED panel to allow immediate correction without safety risk. The audio alarm can be supplemented with an additional alarm, for instance a light.
WAGFORS RPS-BOX1
A phase monitoring unit that can be used with Wagfors’s reserve power unit. Suitable for installations where both constantly illuminated lights (EXIT signs) and lights illuminated during emergency operation are powered by a single output line from the reserve power unit. The box is a stand alone unit, so does not require feedback lines to the reserve power unit.
WAGFORS PS-BOX 6
This box has six inlets that independently detect the status of up to six supply phases which power the normal lighting in each area. The installation requires feedback lines between the box and the reserve power unit, and between the box and the monitored phase.
RPS1 and PS6, common characteristics:
- In the event of local power failure, the inlet that detected the failure switches over to power the emergency lighting in the relevant area. (The reserve power unit remains in standby mode as long as the supply network for the reserve power unit is present.)
- The equipment detects whether the reserve power unit is in normal or emergency mode. As a result, all connected lights are illuminated during the automatic test, or during power failures that cause the reserve power unit to switch to emergency operation.
- Clear instructions and high quality connection blocks ensure easy installation.
- The boxes’ design increases safety in the event of local power failure and protects against damage cased by incorrect handling or connection.
